Well Brett and I had the baby!! What an adventure it was, and in the end we got the biggest surprise of our life...IT'S A GIRL!! We were almost 100% sure we were having a boy and wow, did this news throw us off, the suspense of keeping it a surprise for 9 months i guess : )
We went into the hospital May 18th 2009 at 7am to get induced (they predicted a bigger baby as i was diabetic through the pregnancy) by 6 pm that evening i had only dialated 1 cm... the induction went on through the night and the next morning i thought i was going to die, the epidural didn't work, i experienced more back labor than imaginable, and after 50+ hours of complete misery i went in for an emergency c-section (sorry but my labor story couldn't be dressed up to sound any better if i tried, it SUCKED! thank god i had Brett at my side the whole time (he even witnessed the whole surgery) I couldn't of done it without him!
So long story short I delivered our little girl wed. may 20th 2009 at 1am

7lb. 14oz. 21 inches long
so bottom line, my baby wasn't as large as they predicted and I probably could have waited til my actual due date of May 29th to have the baby naturally and avoid getting induced...but seeing her in the end made it all worthwhile!!
Thanks to UIC for such a horrific experience, it won't be forgotten!

I hate to say it but I told you so lol. I knew from the first ultrasound it was a girl I just felt it, tell that sweet Jade her Asil knows best lol. I told you that labor part was gonna suck and all natural forget that lol and then c-section in the end sorry girl what a bummer but hey at least you have a beautiful healthy baby!!! I'm SOO happy for you guys (so are Aly and Jesse) though and so happy to be an aunt (as are they cousin and uncle)! And you can't add that's only like 42 hours of labor, piece of cake lmao-totally kidding!!!! what do I know I had a c-section within 3 hours of my water breaking haha and I tell ya I don't feel bad at all or like I missed out not going through a damn bit of that pain and misery . Hopefully your recovery will be as great as mine was from the c-section and you'll be up and about in no time (that whole no doing this or that or driving for 6 weeks is crap-except the sex part don't mess with that plus it's a good excuse lol). I think they make it all out to be more than it is, it really wasn't so bad, and I'd take that any day over labor (course now I have to regardless cause of having Aly as a c-section when I did beinb a preemie and all). Anyways congrats again and can't wait to send you all of Aly's cute little baby girl clothes! Love you and miss you tons, can't wait to see my new little niece in August!
