Bowling with Alyssa

We took Alyssa bowling and boy were we in for a treat... she almost beat Brett but c'mon you know i was gonna beat 'em both :) we had a great time and it was Jades first time in a bowling Alley!

After we left the bowling alley we went to Alsip nursery to stock our fishbowl and let Alyssa play with the puppies

Bunny turns 2 months!!

Well today (July 20) Jade turned 2 months!! We had to take her to the doctor for her 6 shots, I swear I cried more than she did...good thing i have another 2 months to prepare for her next round of shots!

I think i forgot to post her 1 month picture...oops! (June 20)

Our first night out!

Well today (July 17) Brett and I decided to take our first night out away from Jade... I was totally freaked out to do it but in the end it was ok, she had her fist babysitter...her godmother Leslie watched her while we went to the poison/def leppard concert - it was so much fun!!

I was so glad to hear Jade did so well with her first babysitter...her and Leslie had a blast!

Happy Indepenence day!!

Well needless to say we spent the fourth of July in Michigan, relaxing and hanging out by the lake, we bbq'd, had some drinks, played in the water, did some shopping at the flea market, then had a fireworks show, it was Jades first and she handled it all very well...even slept through an hour long fireworks show!! Of course she was dressed to kill and loved being outside all weekend!!

Happy Birthday Brett!

We celebrated Bretts birthday with a family dinner at Don Pedro where they gave him a sombrero and sang to him, quite entertaining, Jade was there to help blow out his candles...lol...then we were off to Michigan for a weekend celebration with our friends Dave and Larissa...

Happy First Fathers Day Brett!

Brett got to spend his first fathers day with Jade this year, we were up in Michigan that weekend surviving a tornado and returned just in time for Brett to have some father daughter time just lounging at the house, She even got dressed up for daddy in a dress her grandpa George and grandma Lee just bought for her! Brett wasn't feeling the best and had a horrible case of poison ivy but made the most out of his day with Jade!

Jade loves the outdoors!

As Jade is approaching her 6th week, we have found that she loves the outdoors, which is good as Brett and I are rarely inside... she has been to Michigan 3 times and has even taken her first boatride, and gotten on her first waverunner! by next summer she will be tubing and swimming with the fishies...ok maybe not that extreme but thank goodness she loves being outside!!

Jade meets her one and only cousin Alyssa

Alyssa comes every summer to visit and stay with Grandma Rhonda but this summer was a treat as her new baby cousin was born weeks before she arrived, she has been keeping busy playing with Jade and giving her so much attention, this is Jades one and only cousin and she absolutely adores her! Alyssa even helped me come up with the bunny song for Jade, times flying tho, she will be off to Utah before we know it : (

Jade has the best aunt in the world

Jade has the best aunt in the world! Thanks to her aunt Asil (Kelly) she has the start of the cutest wardrobe ever, as you all know i was almost 100% sure i was having a boy so i had NO girl clothes ready, however Kelly had a feeling it was going to be a girl and sent all of Alyssas clothes our way...i was so happy to have pink clothes for Jade rather than the blue ones that were piling up, thanks again to you Asil without you Jade wouldn't have anyone to spoil her :)

Well Brett and I had the baby!! What an adventure it was, and in the end we got the biggest surprise of our life...IT'S A GIRL!! We were almost 100% sure we were having a boy and wow, did this news throw us off, the suspense of keeping it a surprise for 9 months i guess : )

We went into the hospital May 18th 2009 at 7am to get induced (they predicted a bigger baby as i was diabetic through the pregnancy) by 6 pm that evening i had only dialated 1 cm... the induction went on through the night and the next morning i thought i was going to die, the epidural didn't work, i experienced more back labor than imaginable, and after 50+ hours of complete misery i went in for an emergency c-section (sorry but my labor story couldn't be dressed up to sound any better if i tried, it SUCKED! thank god i had Brett at my side the whole time (he even witnessed the whole surgery) I couldn't of done it without him!

So long story short I delivered our little girl wed. may 20th 2009 at 1am
Jade Madison Heinze
7lb. 14oz. 21 inches long

so bottom line, my baby wasn't as large as they predicted and I probably could have waited til my actual due date of May 29th to have the baby naturally and avoid getting induced...but seeing her in the end made it all worthwhile!!
Thanks to UIC for such a horrific experience, it won't be forgotten!

More pictures to come!

T-Minus 11 days

Well the countdown has begun, we are due in less than 2 weeks and we finally got the nursery together (minus the painted walls) which will have to wait til after the baby arrives, we tried to get it done but just not enough time and we didn't want to paint it yellow... we still have to hang some pictures on the wall and little stuff here and there but all the big stuff is assembled and moved in!

We did our last ultrasound on wed. and the baby is already 7lb 6 oz. so god help me and let this baby be under 9lbs..oh please let it be under 9 lbs..lol... I am getting induced later next week so hopefully this baby comes on it's own before that! Soon enough we will meet the little one and finally get our surprise although i am still thinking this is a boy...a girl would definatley make the surprise a real "surprise" as we don't even have a girls name picked out ( we have the name book packed in our bag tho) so i can't wait for you all to mee him/her!!
