Jades Playdates

So Jade is now three weeks old and had a very active week with 2 playdates! She got to meet 2 of the many little babies that are arriving by the week it seems :) She got to meet Brenna's girls Isabelle and Lily, Julies son Luca, Julies daughter Alison, and of course the many older children that popped in at Julies daycare yesterday : )

The babies are finally arriving!!

Sarah O'Reilley and I with Jade and Brookyln, they are 3 weeks apart...sarah was one of the first people to find out i was pregnant, and she had some surprise news for me...she was prego too, along with a million other girls! I love it!

OK here are some pictures of Jade, as of Friday May 29, 2009 she is 7lb 9 oz and 21.5 inches long, we have had alot of firsts in her one week here so take a look and let me know what you think!

She gets to meet her family with the exception of her Utah Family, Aunt Asil (Kelly) Uncle Jesse and her one and only cousin Alyssa who will be here in just a few days, she's super excited to meet them and can't wait til August!!

Well Brett and I had the baby!! What an adventure it was, and in the end we got the biggest surprise of our life...IT'S A GIRL!! We were almost 100% sure we were having a boy and wow, did this news throw us off, the suspense of keeping it a surprise for 9 months i guess : )

We went into the hospital May 18th 2009 at 7am to get induced (they predicted a bigger baby as i was diabetic through the pregnancy) by 6 pm that evening i had only dialated 1 cm... the induction went on through the night and the next morning i thought i was going to die, the epidural didn't work, i experienced more back labor than imaginable, and after 50+ hours of complete misery i went in for an emergency c-section (sorry but my labor story couldn't be dressed up to sound any better if i tried, it SUCKED! thank god i had Brett at my side the whole time (he even witnessed the whole surgery) I couldn't of done it without him!

So long story short I delivered our little girl wed. may 20th 2009 at 1am

so bottom line, my baby wasn't as large as they predicted and I probably could have waited til my actual due date of May 29th to have the baby naturally and avoid getting induced...but seeing her in the end made it all worthwhile!!
Thanks to UIC for such a horrific experience, it won't be forgotten!

T-Minus 11 days

Well the countdown has begun, we are due in less than 2 weeks and we finally got the nursery together (minus the painted walls) which will have to wait til after the baby arrives, we tried to get it done but just not enough time and we didn't want to paint it yellow... we still have to hang some pictures on the wall and little stuff here and there but all the big stuff is assembled and moved in!

We did our last ultrasound on wed. and the baby is already 7lb 6 oz. so god help me and let this baby be under 9lbs..oh please let it be under 9 lbs..lol... I am getting induced later next week so hopefully this baby comes on it's own before that! Soon enough we will meet the little one and finally get our surprise although i am still thinking this is a boy...a girl would definatley make the surprise a real "surprise" as we don't even have a girls name picked out ( we have the name book packed in our bag tho) so i can't wait for you all to mee him/her!!

2009 Baby Boom shared with so many friends

It is so good being pregnant with so many of my friends, I can't believe the 2009 Baby Boom, and we are all within weeks apart from eachother, it should make for an eventful summer with lots of playdates!! The anticipation is growing as i only have less than 4 weeks left!! And of course I'm dying to know if it's a boy or girl..lol...i'm dying to know if Julie is having a boy or girl too so Jules - pop that baby out!!

Easter Sunday

Brett and I had a very low key Easter this year, we went to church then to brunch at 94 west with his family, then for a walk around Cedar Lake, then straight to our couch and vegged the rest of the afternoon : ) we had our first Easter dinner at our new home!

Our Wonderful Baby Shower

Brett and I had a wonderful time at our baby shower, we had it at the Irwin Center in Homewood on March 29, 2009, it went by fast and we were exhausted after it but I wish we could do it all over, good thing we still had the moving van: ) it was so good to see some old faces and we got a TON of cute baby things we needed! It was so much fun! Thanks again to my mom, Rhonda Heinze (Brett's mom) and Kelly Martinez (Brett's sister) for throwing and hosting such a wonderful party and to Jesse Martinez for filming and photography the whole event!

Sarah O'Reilly due June 11, Julie Schaffrath due May 23, Marta Pagoria due August 18, I'm due May 22, and Julie Sadus due April 25th...lots of playdates ahead!!

Gates of St. John Indiana here we come!

Well we finally bought our house!! We moved to St. John Indiana last month and we are still trying to get settled in! We love the new house and can't wait for everyone to see it once we get everything together! We have moved almost everything in and the one room that is closest to being finished is the nursery, we have made it our top priority : )

Baby Heinze gets a 3D Ultrasound

so I know I have been horrible at keeping this updated the past few months so i will do what i can to update everyone but keep in mind we moved and i didn't have full access to the internet...will that excuse work?!? LOL

Well we finally RE-did our 3D ultrasound and it worked out pretty well, judging from the pictures i think we are having a boy....any thoughts??

We got them done at Baby's First Images in Naperville, pretty inexpensive and a super cool experience! Although the first time we went (Feb. 14th) Baby Heinze had the cord in front of his/her face and was turned around so we couldn't get any clear images, but this time (march 7) came out pretty clear, and i recommend getting them done later in the pregnancy because the baby was moving more, had clearer images, and opened their eyes, we also got the whole session on DVD...
